Since the first EMS Helicopter so called “Doctor Heli” was introduced in Japan in 2001, 51 helicopters in total are flying as of March, 2017; thanks to financial support by the Japanese Government. Current fleet by Model is as shown in the graph below.
The expansion of Doctor Heli has made big impact not only in the medical market but in the new helicopter demand. Another several helicopters will be introduced within a couple years.
